The Articulation Prize is a programme about helping young people to develop critical analysis, independent research and public speaking skills, team-working and confidence, and raising the profile of art with young people, schools and families. LHM will host a Discovery Day Tuesday 19 September and a Regional Heat in January 2018.
The Summer Programme of at Leighton House is as follows. All activities were over subscribed and there is a waiting list.
- A non-residential five day programme August 7 to 11 from 9.00am to 4.30pm. The programme was originally designed for vulnerable children, experiencing deprivation, who were facing a long summer holiday with no possibility of travel or clubs. Given recent events, we have narrowed our focus and are specifically looking to give places to children directly or indirectly impacted by the Grenfell Tower fire. The programme is about learning in the broadest sense, exploring the house and collection, whilst creating a holiday atmosphere, and thinking about self and well-being. Support is being given by WLZ, Future Foundations and Ark.
- Annual Children’s Fete August 5. Support from the Ecology Centre in Holland Park.
- Summer Family Activity Afternoons (10th, 17th, 24th August). Advertised on the website, and in Time Out.
