Victorian Circus Garden Party at Leighton House, June 2019
This year the annual Friends of Leighton House garden party was a magical circus themed extravaganza, complete with silts, jugglers, and of course a big top.
Private Guided Tour of Strawberry Hill House, Feb 2019
Guided tour of Strawberry Hill’s landmark exhibition Lost Treasures which reunited Horace Walpole’s extraordinary art collection for the first time since the great sale in 1842.
Vienna, 2017
Trip to Vienna to view the exhibition Lawrence Alma-Tadema: At Home in Antiquity at the Belvedere Palace Museum before it travelled to Leighton House. The visit also included tours of the Secession building and the Kunsthistoriches Museum.
Edward Burne-Jones exhibition at Tate Britain, Nov 2018
Private after-hours curator led tour of the Burne-Jones retrospective at Tate Britain. Preceded by a drinks reception in the Wex Whistler restaurant.
Golden Hours Dinner, annually Nov / Dec
Annual Friends of Leighton House dinner held in Leighton’s studio, with guest speakers and a musical performance – last year provided by the Salome Quartet, Leighton House Museum’s musicians in residence.
