From museum events and previews, to private curator- led tours of major exhibitions, the Friends of Leighton house offers a programme of historical and cultural interest not normally accessible to the public.
Always a special occasion, Golden Hours gives the opportunity to experience the house in a very special way and to meet fellow Patrons in the unrivalled setting of Lord Leighton’s Studio. Following the success of last year’s dinner all guests will be in the Studio. Numbers are strictly restricted and circular table arrangements will be in place. This is very popular and immediate booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
The June garden party which takes place in the grounds of Leighton House has become a popular and eagerly anticipated annual event. Named after one of Leighton’s most well know paintings – Flaming June – entry is by invitation only. Guests are free to visit the house and, weather permitting, there is live entertainment on the lawn, where waiters mingle offering refreshments. There are generous and enticing raffle prizes, and for the price of a ticket you could win a pair of free tickets to the Leighton Dinner in the autumn.
